I wrote in this post about my mixed feelings about the Barnes & Noble Nook – which I eventually returned. I know that the emergence of this new format is more or less inevitable over time, and while I was in New York I went into an Apple store and played with an iPad, which was irritatingly impressive – but I can’t give up the whole paper and ink thing just yet. Anyway, it seems that I’m not the only one who has recognized the grim dystopia that awaits us as e-books take over the world. Thanks, once again, to the New Yorker for not suing me for breach of copyright.
